Sarah Panus is the Public Relations Manager at Select Comfort and her Sleep Number is 35.
Sarah joined Select Comfort in May of 2008 and will be using her brand experience to help raise U.S. and international awareness about the importance of healthy sleep and the role the sleep surface plays in consistently getting a good night’s sleep. She initially fell in love with Sleep Number beds during a business trip to Canada, a few years prior to joining the company, where she stayed overnight at a Radisson and slept so deeply, she woke-up in the same position as when she went to sleep— something that never happened to the regular nighttime toss and turner.
Prior to Select Comfort, Sarah was an Account Supervisor at a brand strategy and communications agency in Boston called Cone. She was part of Cone’s Brand Marketing group and Cause Branding group where she provided strategic integrated marketing program support around media/new media, spokespeople, events, product sampling, media training, influencer engagement, and fundraising strategies for clients including Nestlé Waters North America, Starbucks, Safeway Restaurant Group, Lindt Chocolate, PetSafe, Game Crazy, the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the American Heart Association.
Before Cone, Sarah was the Communications Manager for New York City high-end wedding gown designer and manufacturer, Christos. At Christos, Sarah was responsible for communication with 70 retail accounts, led advertising and public relation initiatives, and assisted with the coordination and execution of fashion shows.
Sarah received a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Cloud State University in Minnesota. After graduation, Sarah moved to New York City, where she attended the Fashion Institute of Technology and received an Associate in Applied Science degree in Fashion Merchandising Management in 2003.
