Tuesday night didn’t disappoint. My husband, two cats and I slept on our new Sleep Number 6000 bed for the first time. The alarm clock went off Wednesday morning, and we laid there in our king-sized throne, when my husband said, “So… feedback?” I laughed, thinking I would be the first to ask him what he thought.
Previously with our innerspring mattress, I woke up each morning with a sore shoulder from sleeping on my side, and a stiff back. I’d stretch in bed a while before rolling out of bed. Then, my husband would ask “How’d you sleep?” I’d usually reply “terribly” and he’d agree because I kept him up all night with my tossing and turning.
After sleeping on our Select Comfort mattress, the last two mornings I’ve noticed that my lower back feel a lot less stiff than it normally does–which makes me really excited to see how my back pain and shoulder pain will improve the more I sleep on the Sleep Number mattress! My husband said he has been sleeping really well, too, and doesn’t remember waking up during the night.
But, the true testament to how well we are sleeping is our comforter. Normally, our blankets are all strewn about the bed, hanging off the side, more on my side, pushed to the bottom of the bed, etc. And, I’d wake up looking like I should enter the Sleep Number Bed Head Awards with my crazy hair. But with our new Sleep Number bed, the comforter’s position doesn’t move an inch from when we went to bed the night before. Literally, our comforter stays in its nice flat position, with equal distribution on my side vs. my husband’s side. That, in and of itself, is a miracle – and making the bed in the morning is much easier too!
Our new (larger) king-size mattress also provides more space for our two cats! When we had our Queen, the cats tried to sleep on our heads, feet, or between us. We all sleep in complete harmony now!
I’m very proud to work for such a great company that really makes high quality mattresses. I’ll report later on how my back pain, shoulder pain, hot sleeping problems are going after sleeping on the bed longer – so stay tuned. We hear from customers every day about how our bed has helped them and now I can proudly join that group of people.

Congradulations on finally getting a good night’s sleep! Something you said really did strike me, I never realized how right you are about the covers staying in place. Now of course, that you said something I realize that my covers don’t move either!
