Minnesota Morning Show Features Sleep Number’s Adjustable Foundation

Hello, my name is Carleen, and I work in the marketing department at Select Comfort, based in Minneapolis. Did you know that studies consistently rank Minneapolis as one of the best-slept cities in the United States? We at Select Comfort believe Minneapolis is a well-slept city because it has the most Sleep Number® beds per capita (since the Sleep Number bed is clinically proven to decrease back pain and improve sleep quality).

Recently, I helped coordinate a TV segment on our local, NBC morning show called “Showcase Minnesota.” It featured the SLEEP NUMBER® bed and the Precision Comfort® Adjustable Base. The Precision Comfort Adjustable Base allows you to adjust your bed’s position at the head or foot with the simple touch of a button. In fact, the adjustable base can fully elevate your head to watch TV or read, elevate your head slightly for therapeutic rest, elevate your feet to relieve pressure or simply lie flat. Which is great for anyone looking to relieve a sore back or achy muscles.

The Precision Comfort Adjustable Base is the the perfect enhancement to your Sleep Number® bed

Select Comfort’s Vice President of Sleep Innovation and Clinical Research Pete Bils (@SleepGeekPete on Twitter) also shared the benefits and advantages of the Sleep Number bed’s unique air-chamber design with Select Comfort’s exclusive PressureMap™ Technology. The PressureMap™ Technology locates pressure points between a firm mattress and the body, and the relative degree of severity of such pressure points. When you adjust your bed to your Sleep Number setting, these pressure points are either eliminated or greatly reduced. Also featured were items from our Sleep Number bedding collection and our new In Balance PJs – which naturally balance your temperature. You can find more information by visiting your local Sleep Number store, calling 888-411-2270 or at sleepnumber.com.

I really enjoyed watching the live, in-studio segment. And it was rewarding to know that I helped educate local viewers about ways to get a better night’s sleep. And want you to have the same opportunity, too. Visit the Showcase Minnesota Website to view the segment and learn why we’re not “Sleepless in Minneapolis.” (Please note: it may be removed from Showcase Minnesota’s Web site after 30 days).

Thanks for watching and sleep well.
