Question: How long have you had your Sleep Number memory foam bed? Why did you choose Sleep Number?
We have had our bed for a little more than a year now. We chose Sleep Number because I had issues with another pillow-top mattress we’d purchased only four years before. The pillow-top had broken down causing large “dips” in the bed. These dips were giving me severe back pain. Sometimes I would turn over and the only way to describe it is to say that it felt like my back was literally breaking. We decided to get a new mattress. We looked at Sleep Number, Tempur-Pedic and Stearns and Foster. Marty, at your Sleep Number store in Syracuse N.Y., spent so much time with us, getting our Sleep Numbers and allowing me to spend time on the beds to see which really would suit us. We went to a local furniture store and tried the others but honestly I was just afraid of buying another pillow-top mattress. We really loved the Sleep Number memory foam bed and I just kept going back to that bed. Marty (salesperson) allowed us to come back again and spend more time lying on the bed before we made our final decision. This is partially what sold me on the bed. A patient, knowledgeable salesperson that was confident in his product.
Question: You mentioned on Facebook that your Sleep Number mattress has ruined you when you travel. Can you talk a little about why the Sleep Number memory foam bed delivers such an extraordinary experience?
My bed has memory foam that just kind of wraps around you. It’s hard to put into words, but it’s just so comfortable. I wake up every morning feeling rested–and best of all absolutely no back pain! My husband was restless at night but he never attributed it to the bed. He just kind of went along with me on this purchase and now every night when we get into bed he says “LOVE the bed!” He’s sleeping great now, too. No more restlessness. Oh, and our two labs and our cat love the bed, too!
