Go back to the days when you were a little kid. Easter was a big deal. Sure, there was the church service, family dinner, and taking a nap with the other food-induced coma family members … but, there was also the once-a-year event we all looked forward to: the Easter egg hunt.
I don’t know about you, but my basket was usually full of jelly beans and chocolate. And, as I got older the eggs starting filling with money–something I grew to thank the Easter Bunny for very much!
Now, as an adult, I enjoy watching my nieces and nephews hunt around my parent’s farm for their Easter egg hunt. My husband and I think of different ways to surprise them each year. This year we’re planning to tie invisible fishing line to some of the eggs and hide behind some bushes. When they get close, we’re going to slowly pull the eggs from their reach. And, the Easter Bunny may or may not come with a Nerf gun this year. He’s so sneaky… J There’s just something incredible about reliving those elements of surprise and fun from when you’re younger.
