Every day, Select Comfort receives positive reviews from our Sleep Number bed owners. It’s very rewarding to work for a company whose owners are so passionate, and to know that we’re making a difference in people’s lives. In fact we’ve helped more than 6,431,700 people get a better night’s sleep. In this blog post, I’ll highlight one of my favorite bed reviews; it happened on Twitter.
In March, @SleepNumberHelp, who is our customer service representative on Twitter, received a great top 10 list from @WonderfulTime:

thank you for giving u reasons.. It really convinced us to have our own sleep number bed…
My husband I have owned the Sleep Number bed for 4 years, and at first it seemed comfortable. But it never reduced my need to turn from side-to-side in the night creating a less than restful night sleep. Let me tell you my insight into this bed and it’s gimmic with the various levels “of comfort”. The mattress itself is very light-weight, with no coils, and not much padding for comfort. So, what happens is you adjust the bed to seek your comfort level if you like it soft as opposed to hard as a board. I found that if I went below 40, then my hips ached, and I was in a hole really in the mattress on my side. It is simply a thin mattress without support that either sinks your hips down, or increases to the level of sleeping on the floor. For back sleepers maybe the style of bed is okay, but at a level 40 on my side, it caused my shoulders to hurt so much, because there is no mattress padding to speak of. Even with a pillow, my shoulders and neck were in such an uncomfortable position, and I don’t have health issues. But I do have a rotator cuff pathology now that I feel was aggravated by sleeping on my side on the Sleep Number bed. My shoulder has improved now that I am sleeping in a bed with a regular mattress that has cushion and support. In summary, I hate the Sleep Number bed system. It has contributed hundreds of sleepless nights for me, and I believe it to be an expensive piece of c—. The company really should offer 90 days like the Tempurpedic to try it out for those of you who will still waste your money on it. As another point, the company tried to bill us twice for the bed. They got our name, and credit card numbers confused with someone in the Midwest. We bought it in person in a store on the west coast. In summary, I am not impressed with anything having to do with Sleep Number.
